Originally developed to support gallery exhibitions, these resources are now available for loan to your school. They are available for the period of one week and are free to schools. Bookings are essential.

The Buckley Box

Explore the social and cultural heritage of the Wathaurong and their relationship with William Buckley . Objects of trade, letters of the time, early maps, tools, food sources help students to appreciate the Wathaurong traditions and the impact of white settlement.

 

The Marco Polo Box

Developed to support the exhibition Venezia Australis . The Marco Polo Treasure Chest tells the story of trade across the Mediterranean , the vast expanses of China and the oceans of South East Asia . Contents include silks, spices, glass, salt and silver. A valuable resource for middle years Italian, Chinese and SOSE programs.
