Geelong identities celebrated in this student exhibition. Students from schools across the region drew and painted portraits for the exhibition Who's Who? at the Geelong Gallery. There were a number of well know identities including Frank Costa, Pat Murnane (Bendigo Bank), the Mayor Cr Peter McMullin, Cr Barbara Abley as well as footballers and basketball players. The students also painted friends and family members. Geelong Gallery's Education Services worked with the Geelong Advertiser Education section to develop this exhibition. The idea for this exhibition was inspired by the knowledge that the originator of the prestigious Archibald Prize was a Geelong citizen. His home Kildare is known today as Clonard College . The exhibition was on display at the Geelong Gallery from 10 June to 20 June 2006. The Gallery is open Monday to Friday 10.00am to 5.00pm and weekends and public holidays from 1pm to 5pm. Entry is free.
