Join Tansy Curtin, Senior Curator, Collections and Research, Bendigo Art Gallery, for a fascinating overview of the special exhibition Genius and Ambition—the Royal Academy of Arts London 1768–1918, on display in Bendigo until 9 June. The exhibition draws on the wealth of the Royal Academy’s collection, from painting and sculpture to works on paper and historic books.

Italian Masterpieces from Spain’s
Royal Court Museo del Prado

Laurie Benson, Curator of International Art at the National Gallery of Victoria, will present an overview of the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition, Italian Masterpieces from Spain’s Royal Court Museo del Prado. Drawn from the magnificent collection of the Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid, this exhibition presents over 100 works comprising 70 paintings, alongside more than 30 drawings, the largest number of Italian works the Museo del Prado has ever loaned to one exhibition. Artists featured include Raphael, Correggio, Titian, Tintoretto, and Tiepolo, amongst others.
