Halina Wolski – Chua Mot Cot (Vietnamese lotus) 29 November 2003 to 11 January 2004
The Vietnam War was the first conflict delivered into Australian homes each night by television. Vietnam is the result of the Halina's pilgrimage to Vietnam and these artworks express her interpretation of the ideologies of both the Vietnamese people and Australians after a pointless conflict.

Giant – ancient and historic trees 29 November 2003 to 15 February 2004
The story of Australia's famous and significant trees as featured in paintings, photographs and rare prints.

Liza McCosh, Aqueous 17 January to 15 February
Aqueous is an exhibition that emphasizes the autonomy of matter in the process of painting. McCosh applies multiple washes of heavily diluted acrylic pigments to primed canvas surfaces. The materials interact with the natural evaporative action of the water cycle to produce unique painterly effects.

Magda Cebokli – of light and edge 21 February to 21 March
New sculptural work by Geelong artist Magda Cebokli .

Return of the White Bull 21 February to 12 April
Contemporary artists respond to Picasso's image of the white bull in his famous painting Guernica (1937). Artists include Victor Majzner, Michael Nelson Jagamarra, Queenie MacKenzie, Victor Rubin, Shaike Snir, Julie Haas and many others.

Croatian Naïve Art 21 February until 4 April
Drawn from an extensive private collection of naïve art by well-known Croatian artists this exhibition includes work by Rale Djedovic and Josip Pintaric (Puco).

The Geelong Fire Brigade returns to the original site of the Geelong Fire Station to celebrate its 150th anniversary.

More Than a Memory: The art of Elizabeth Parsons 1831 – 1897 10 April to 20 June 19 th century watercolours
Elizabeth Parsons (1831 – 1897) was one of the first professional women artists to work in Australia and she exhibited with the Victorian Academy of Arts. More than a memory includes landscapes of late-19 th century of Lorne, Berwick, Melbourne and the Dandenongs. Several British subjects are also included.

Andrew Rogers – Geoglyphs 10 April to 12 June
Photographic exhibition of Andrew Rogers' earthworks in the Arava Desert, Israel.

Sara Thorn: Dreams of a golden thread 17 April to 6 June
Features fabrics produced in various parts of the world, including the legendary Lessio Mill in Florence, and featuring local designer Sara Thorn's idiosyncratic repertoire of icons. This sumptuous exhibition includes new designs for an Australian tartan. A Craft Victoria touring exhibition.

The hand and the chisel – wood carvings by Lewis Godfrey 17 April to 27 June
The first ever survey of intricate carvings in wood by the 19 th century master craftsman Lewis Godfrey. Includes studies from nature, historical and allegorical subjects as well as ornate exhibition pieces.

2004 Vigex International Photography Salon 1 May to 30 May
VIGEX is one of only three international photography exhibitions held in Australia. It is accredited by the Federation Internationale de l'Art Photographique (FIAP) and by the Australian Photographic Society (APS) established in 1980. Medals and certificates of merit are awarded in each category.
