Arthur Wicks – Global Images: Notes from the Solstice Voyeur 5 February to 20 March
Modern versions of the medieval mappae mundi - digitally manipulated photographs of cities and landscapes made by Arthur Wicks between 1975 and 2002.

Out of the shadows – the mezzotints of Graeme Peebles 5 February until 27 March
A survey of the artist's mezzotints from 1975 to 2003.

Robert Ingpen – Peter Pan 12 February to 10 April
An exhibition of original illustrations by the noted artist, Robert Ingpen, who was invited by the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London to illustrate the centenary edition of the classic story Peter Pan and Wendy. The Australian royalties, raised by the sale of the book will be donated to the Barwon Health Foundation Gala Appeal, for the redevelopment of the Emergency Department at the Geelong Hospital and in particular, the development of a new paediatrics area.

Susan Wald (Mittelman) – Clean Kill 26 March to 25 April
These vividly expressionistic paintings explores themes of 'mortality and death' evoked in images inspired by the artist's study of scenes in an abattoir. The subject has been treated by artists throughout history from Rembrandt to Soutine and beyond to contemporary in painting and photography.

Captured in colour – rare photographs from the First World War 2 April to 29 May
A major exhibition of French and Australian colour photographs that provide a glimpse of the Western Front in the First World War. Includes images by French photographers (Paul Castelnau, Fernand Cuville, Albert Samama-Chikli, Jules Gervais-Courtellemont and Léon Gimpel) as well as by two notable Australians, Frank Hurley and Hubert Wilkins. In conjunction with Captured in Colour, paintings of the same war by Septimus Power, from the Gallery's own collection, will be hung in the foyer.

An exhibition of recent sculptures that reference aspects of Geelong’s industrial trades – textile mills, ports and shipping – whilst carrying a sense of a past lost.

This exhibition examines the work of Australian artists (historical and modern) who have worked in Venice and painted the famous vistas of the picturesque city. Includes stunning works by artists such as Arthur Streeton, Ethel Carrick Fox, E Phillips Fox, Lionel Lindsay, Hans Heysen and Rick Amor. A Castlemaine Art Gallery exhibition.

Impressions of Venice – works on paper 1 October to 20 November
Mounted in conjunction with Venezia Australis this display of works on paper features various Venetian sites additional to those depicted in Venezia Australis.

Lake Gnotuk: a layered history 1 October – 13 November
Five contemporary artists present new work that explores the historical, geological and indigenous stories surrounding the unique and scientifically renowned environment of Lake Gnotuk in Western Victoria. Artists: Brigid Cole-Adams, Christine James, Richard Thomas, Ewa Narkiewicz, and Cameron Robbins. Curator: Anna Clabburn. The exhibition features historical works by Eugene von Guerard and Nicholas Chevalier. A Geelong Gallery exhibition toured by NETS Victoria.
