Klaus Moje: Glass until 13 January
With a career spanning 50 years and distinguished by a mastery of form and technique, Moje is one of the most celebrated glass artists working internationally today. This exhibition acknowledges Moje's contribution to the development of the kiln-formed mosaic glass technique that has revolutionised the art of glass, and includes examples of his dramatically coloured vessels and wall panels.

‘50' – a print exchange portfolio until 27 January
An exhibition and exchange portfolio of prints by fifty contemporary Victorian artists curated by printmaker Rona Green. This selection of works highlights the richness and diversity of the print medium as well as the strength of current practice.
Artbank: Celebrating 25 Years of Australian Art until 3 February
Artbank, the Australian Government art rental initiative, is at the forefront of collecting contemporary art and craft from Australia's emerging and established Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists. Artbank celebrates a quarter of a century by touring an exhibition of significant artworks acquired from each year of its operation. It includes contemporary abstraction; landscapes; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art; glass; photography, and sculpture by important artists. Collected since Artbank's inception in 1980, these works form a distinctive snapshot of the recent art and craft produced in Australia.

Drawn from the Gallery's permanent collection of British art pottery—gifted in the 1990s by Dr HD Chamberlain—this display represents prominent makers and styles typical of this popular movement.

From significant acquisitions such as Eugene von Guérard's View of Geelong and Daniel von Sturmer's Folded space , to newly-conserved works that will be displayed for the first time in many years, and those that have been the basis for research, this exhibition celebrates the growth of the Gallery's significant collection over the past two years.

Wildman country – Robert Hollingworth 15 March to 27 April
Paintings based on a newly released novel by Robert Hollingworth about the legendary ‘Wildman of Tallarook' and inspired by the wild and rocky landscape where he lived.
The enchanted forest – new gothic storytellers 12 April to 9 June
This exhibition brings together artists working across a range of media—from sculpture and installation to painting, digital imagery and printmaking—who create personal mythologies founded in notions of constructed nature, particularly re-inventions of the woodland animal. Includes the work of Jazmina Cininas, Deborah Klein, Milan Milojevic, James Morrison, Louise Weaver and Louiseann Zahra-King.

Continuous moment – Damiano Bertoli 12 April to 9 June
A sculptural installation referencing Caspar David Friedrich's early-19th century German romantic painting Das eismeer (The sea of ice), that reveals Bertoli's interest in the past and present, art and architecture, nature and artifice.

15th Vigex international photography salon 2008 3 May to 1 June
Selected works from the 2008 Vigex photographic competition. Accredited by the Federation Internationale de l'Art Photographique (FIAP) and the Australian Photographic Society (APS), this bi-annual competition attracts thousands of entries. A selection of works awarded medals and certificates of merit will be exhibited.

Print traditions – sources of Australian printmaking 14 June to 10 August
An exhibition of works by Australian printmakers whose treatments of landscapes, cityscapes and industrial subjects have been strongly influenced by European precedents. Includes key works by European printmakers such as Thomas Bewick, Charles Meryon, Giovanni Piranesi and Rembrandt van Rijn whose images and techniques have inspired Australian printmakers from Lionel Lindsay, John Shirlow and Jessie Traill to Ros Atkins and Marco Luccio.
