It’s about one man and many people — Brian McKinnon
24 May 2014 to 13 July 2014
Geelong region artists program.
Politically charged works spanning over the last decade and informed by McKinnon’s early years growing up in Blood Alley, an Aboriginal camp on the outskirts of Geraldton, Western Australia, and over three decades living on Wathaurong land in Geelong. Through paintings that bring together diverse imagery and contemporary references, McKinnon highlights Indigenous issues as well as broader social concerns.
