Nora Heysen – light and life
11 July 2009 to 6 September 2009

In this first comprehensive exhibition of Nora Heysen's works since her death in 2003, her key subjects - the figure, portraiture and still-life - are shown in depth, with over forty works representing a career covering more than six decades. This exhibition includes key works from major public collections and numerous private collections, as well as a number of paintings that have not previously been seen publicly. All are indicative of a lasting passion for light and life that sustained the artist's significant career.

A Carrick Hill touring exhibition. Geelong Gallery is the sole Victorian venue.
