Each year the Gallery presents a vibrant program of some 20 temporary exhibitions along with a stimulating mix of lifelong learning experiences.

In 2014 visitors to the Gallery will be able to enjoy the opportunity to explore a diverse range of works by artists from Australia and overseas. Visually seductive, thought-provoking and compelling, our 2014 exhibition program contrasts the historical with newly created contemporary works of art. From curiosity, creative play and cultural cross-dressing to the complexities of war, our major highlights will also present outstanding works that showcase the best of Australian painting practice in the 2014 Geelong contemporary art prize.

NB: From late 2014 to late 2015 the Gallery’s exhibition program may change due to the building works of the new Geelong Library and Heritage Centre situated next door. This exciting development for the arts precinct will provide the Gallery with an additional exhibition space and an extension to the collections store.
