From 14 December the Geelong Gallery will present the exquisite exhibition Oriental odyssey—decorative arts from the Far East.

This special exhibition includes Indo-Persian parade armour, bronze Japanese samurai warriors, various depictions of the Buddha, golden Satsuma vases and other artefacts gifted by some of the Gallery’s earliest benefactors most notably Oswald Gibson and Mrs John Biddlecombe.
