| The Geelong Art Gallery Foundation was formed in 1984 for
the purpose of raising money for investment for the long-term benefit of
the Geelong Gallery and its collection.
Since the Foundation was established donations to the Foundation have made the following possible:
- substantial financial support to the building and renovation works
- the purchase of paintings, Sally Smart, Mad house history painting No.1, 1989, Damiano Bertoli, Continuous moment-requiem, 2004, Hamish Carr, Landscape, 2003, and Melinda Harper, Untitled, 2004
- Prize money for the Geelong Contemporary Art Prize 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002
- substantial financial support for the centenary purchase, John Brack's painting, The hunt, 1988, Juan Davila's A Bush Burial 2000 and Eugene von Guerard's View of Geelong, 1856
- provided funds to commission large-format photographs by John Gollings and wood engravings by Tim Jones
- purchase of office equipment
- financial support for exhibitions

Patron $50,000 - $99,999

How do I donate to the Foundation?
Donations can be made in yearly instalments or one single payment. Donations are tax deductible. Click here for a Donation Form.
Are gifts tax deductible?
The gift of a work of art can be offered to the Gallery under the Australian
