In late 2017 Rone completed large-scale murals on the facade of the Fyansford Cement Works silos, Geelong, depicting members of the local community that embodied the past, present and future.

From left to right, Corrina Eccles represents the original owners of the land, the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation, as a direct descendant of Queen Mary Robinson; Cor Horsten represents the workers, after spending over 35 years on staff at the Geelong Cement Company; and Kelly Cartwright, represents the future of Geelong, for her achievements as a Gold Medallist at the 2012 London Paralympics.

In early 2020, the owners of the site, Adelaide Brighton Limited, announced the demolition of the silos. Soon after, Adelaide Brighton Limited generously gifted this work to Geelong Gallery, documenting Rone’s ephemeral murals, and acknowledging their significance to our community.
