Grand designs—architectural subjects in photography
Saturday 17 October 2015 to Sunday 15 May 2016
Select photographs from the Gallery’s collection that reflect the enduring appeal of grand architectural subjects and decorative interiors: from late 19th century photographs of elaborate French and Italian buildings and structures—such as the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and the Rialto Bridge in Venice—to contemporary artist Bill Henson’s 1983-84 triptych featuring the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles.
