Victorian Curriculum all Levels—The Arts (Visual arts, Visual Communication and Design & Dance)

Discover P.A.R.A.D.E. the second work in artist Sally Smart’s trilogy in which she explores and contemporises the historical avant-garde performances and designs of the early 20th century Ballets Russes. Through group discussions students critically engage and examine ideas and themes presented in this exhibition. Followed by an artmaking exercise that explores Smart’s use of textiles (costumes and curtains), sculptural components and performance (video and sound) to create an experiential and immersive environment.
