Gallery on Tour—Clarice Beckett

Victorian Curriculum Levels 3 to 10—The Arts (Visual Arts), Humanities
Duration: 1 – 2 hours

Interpret and explore key works from Geelong Gallery’s permanent collection in the classroom with our Clarice Beckett Gallery on Tour workshop kit. Facilitated by a Gallery educator—this 60-minute workshop provides students in levels 3 to 6 with an artist resource, discussion questions and an art making activity to promote skills in visual analysis, critical and creative thinking.

Students will gain an insight into the history and role of Geelong Gallery and explore Rainy day by Clarice Beckett, to develop their own understanding of diverse artistic practices and connections between art and ideas through their own tonal landscape painting.
