These inspiring talks are fundraising events for Geelong Gallery and begin at 10:15am with coffee, tea and scones in the Gallery, before an illustrated lecture at 11.00am at the High Ground, Wurdi Youang, Geelong Library and Heritage Centre.

Author and Screen Studies Lecturer at The University of Melbourne, Dr Wendy Haslem, explores the intersection of film history and new media and the impact of digital restoration on early experiments in film making—examining the restoration, colour and variants of George Méliès A trip to the Moon (Le voyage dans la Lune) 1902, a major work in the Gallery’s current exhibition The Moon.
