Art + Soul. Episode two: Dreams and Nightmares (2009)

Art + Soul is a groundbreaking three-part documentary series, written and presented by Curator Hetti Perkins and directed by award winning Director Warwick Thornton.

Dreams and Nightmares, explores a diverse group of outstanding contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and provides an insight into their life and art practice. Including artists Lin Onus, the East Kimberley artists, Yvonne Koolmatrie, Kurlijunyintja Jackie Giles, Pedro Wonaeamirri, Brenda L Croft, Harry Wedge and Emily Kam Kngwarray. 

Emily Kam Kngwarray’s work Anooralya (or Anwerlarr) – Yam Dreaming (1996) was acquired in 2021 by Geelong Gallery to celebrate the Gallery’s 125th Anniversary and is currently on display in the Douglass Gallery.
