These inspiring talks are fundraising events for Geelong Gallery and begin at 10:15am with coffee, tea and scones in the Gallery, before an illustrated lecture at 11.00am at the High Ground, Wurdi Youang, Geelong Library and Heritage Centre.

For centuries artists from many cultures have been inspired by the Moon, the most prominent feature of our night sky. Join Geelong Gallery, Senior Curator, Lisa Sullivan, for an illustrated lecture exploring The Moon exhibition, including historical works created when the moon could only be viewed from afar, works from the era of the 1960s space race, and more contemporary responses informed by the imagery and scientific knowledge acquired through space exploration.
