Digitisation lab

Digitisation lab was a unique experience providing access to the workings of the Gallery as we undertake a major collection digitisation project, made possible through the support of Creative Victoria. Using state of the art technology in the form of the WideTek36 art scanner, the Gallery’s collection of 2D paintings and works on paper was methodically scanned—and 3D objects photographed—to significantly increase our library of digital images, ultimately resulting in even greater access to the collection.
The Digitisation lab project was in operation Monday to Friday (excluding 21 December 2019 to 5 January 2020).
