Artist statement:

I chose to do a portrait of this specific person because she is my sporting idol and has faced many challenges in her sporting career (including last year when she was out for the entire season due to a torn ACL) which have helped me to work hard and continue netball. She is the co-captain of my favourite netball team, the Collingwood Magpies, and has represented Australia in the Diamonds at the Commonwealth Games twice winning both silver and gold.
