Art + Connect—Christian Den Besten

To celebrate International Day of People with Disability, we're exploring Geelong's own ArtGusto studios and artist Christian Den Besten’s practice. ArtGusto is a supported art studio for local artists, providing opportunities to practice their work in groups settings and receive mentorship, career development and community connections. Christian is a founding ArtGusto artist, and his practice encompasses painting, three dimensional forms, drawing and animation. His work is informed by Geelong’s changing infrastructure, community, and the close relationships in his life.

Christian Den Besten’s Geelong Gallery (2011) was gifted to the Gallery in 2015 by Terry Wills Cooke.
