Professional Development: Claude Monet’s Haystacks, midday

This one-day professional development workshop will be facilitated by National Gallery of Australia and Geelong Gallery artist educators. Aligned with the Australian Curriculum, the workshop focuses on creative strategies to engage students with Claude Monet’s Meules, milieu du jour (Haystacks, midday) and other artworks on display from Geelong Gallery’s Collection that consider landscape.

Participants will be introduced to approaches for using the accompanying learning resource in classrooms or other learning environments and experience creative thinking and making activities. This professional development workshop is suitable for educators of all year levels from early learning to tertiary education.

Claude Monet’s Haystacks, midday is on long term loan from the National Gallery of Australia with support from the Australian Government as part of Sharing the National Collection.
