Vocational Training and Work Experience Program

26 January to 18 December

As the leading visual arts institution in the region, Geelong Gallery is pleased to offer a specialised vocational training and work experience program supporting young people aged 15 to 18 living in the G21 region. 

Designed for secondary students, the program provides opportunities to build arts industry knowledge, explore creative career pathways, and strengthen soft skills including communication, collaboration, critical and creative thinking. The program aims to support a successful transition to further education, training, or employment after school.  

Suitable for Secondary School students aged 15 to 18 years, including year 10 work experience placement students, and Structured Workplace Learning for VCE Vocational Major students.

Term 3, 2026 Geelong Gallery's ticketed exhibition (limited availability) 
Term 4, 2026 program

- Email youth@geelonggallery.org.au with a short introduction about yourselfwhy youre interested in the program and what you hope to gain from it. 

- Call Geelong Gallery on (03) 5229 3645 and ask to speak to Alisha, Youth Projects Coordinator.

- Arrange a time to meet with Alisha in person at the Gallery (55 Little Malop Street, Geelong 3220).
