National Portrait Gallery of Australia
Positioned on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin, on the lands of the Ngunnawal, Ngunawal and Ngambri peoples, the National Portrait Gallery of Australia is a National Cultural Institution dedicated to telling and sharing the story of the evolution of Australian identity through art, specifically portraiture. The National Portrait Gallery’s vision is to reflect the face of Australia, tell Australian stories and increase understanding and appreciation of Australian people through the art of portraiture – their identity, history, culture, creativity and diversity.
Geelong Gallery members receive members' discounted entry for ticketed exhibitions, available in-person only. Proof of Geelong Gallery membership must be shown/provided.
