Groundswell evolved from a focus on personal connections and content over aesthetics. It is drawn from representations of nature and landscapes. Each element of this painting is used to elicit specific feelings, which give way to new and untrodden realms.
In Groundswell there is a layer of tension between two realities, just as a dream does not explain itself and can either bring dramatic significance or conversely remain an enigma. This work provides a journey into a place of solitude: a small cabin nestled at its centre amongst a swirl of mysterious forces.
