Artist statement:

My work conveys a sense of ambiguity through loose and gestural mark making allowing for multiple narratives to emerge and multiple meanings to be found. Pointing the finger suggests feelings of division, accusation, allegation or shame. White lines allude to a sense of separateness, difference and demarcation. My work hints at the blurred lines between memory, truth and invention, and is drawn from both memory and fictional narratives. Pointing the finger is perhaps a response to our current world or just a vague memory from a childhood playground – perhaps it is both.
