Artist statement:

Bluegum depicts an imagined view through the frosted 12 pane windows of my studio, idealised architecture amongst the hills and mountains of Nipaluna/Hobart. The title is derived from a Dulux Colourbond chart and references the prescriptive and banal approach to contemporary suburban house design. And offers hope that we will one day do better.
