Join celebrated printmaker Dianne Fogwell for a special evening exploring the artist’s current multi-panelled installation, Prescience, followed by an in-depth look into Fogwell’s printing practice and processes.

Through fifty-four exquisitely detailed hand-printed panels, Fogwell creates an immersive experience of the bush, emphasising the interconnectedness of the natural world, humanity’s central role in its destruction, and the cycle of regeneration that follows natural disasters such as fire. The installation is accompanied by a musical composition by Reuben Lewis taking inspiration from the choreography and sounds of the natural world.

Dianne is an acclaimed master printer and founding director of print studios such as Studio One, Criterion Fine Art Press and Gallery, ANU – Edition + Artist Book Studio and Lewis Editions.  In 2018 Dianne was both author and publisher of A Printmaker’s Cookbook – Images in Relief, a comprehensive 192-page publication originating from her 40-year career in print and the artists’ book, as artist and maker, master printer and in this instance as educator. Fogwell was the winner of the 2021 Geelong acquisitive print awards for her work, Latency.
