Artist statement:

Notable inspirations for my work include my inner child as a vessel for authenticity and growth, and my late grandma, who loved sunflowers and colour, and nurtured my creativity and childlike wonder—traits which she also embodied into her old age. This painting captures layered symbolism. The sunflower facing towards the sun is a symbol for growth, enlightenment and divine guidance. The rainbow symbolises the bridge between realms. The sun also represents my grandma and my higher self, and the sunflower is a depiction of my inner child. Though not physically together, we are all ever connected beyond rainbows. My practice is inspired by the values she instilled, which bring joy to my inner child.
