Artist statement:

My still life composition centres around a revered icon of Christ and a Bible: symbols of the divine presence and spiritual wisdom found in the Orthodox Church. The juxtaposition of these sacred objects with the quiet simplicity of the studio-painted still life composition creates a reflective space, inviting the viewer to contemplate the eternal within the everyday. My work is inspired by the quote, ‘without Me you can do nothing’ (John 15:5).
