Confessions 2024 was created in collaboration with visitors to the National Gallery of Victoria’s 2023–24 Triennial. Participants’ sins were heard by the artist and transcribed onto pegboards: a material link to the confessional booth at his childhood church in Hamilton, Aotearoa/New Zealand. Across 106 panels a diverse array of confessions is shared, ranging from heartfelt to humorous.
