Geelong Gallery Guiding
Volunteer Guides host tours for visitors, groups, youth public programs and Art+Memory programs for people with early to mid-stages of dementia.
Geelong Gallery requires dedicated, well-informed voluntary Guides who enjoy interacting with the public and promoting the role of the Gallery and its Collection within our community.
Background in the Arts, history or education is encouraged but not a pre-requisite, trainee guides undertake a 12 month training program, supported by an experienced guide mentor. Guides are selected from Geelong Gallery’s volunteer cohort, and are recommended to have 3 months of volunteer experience in the Gallery before undertaking Guide training.
