Join us for an inspiring professional learning evening exploring Who’s Who—Portraits Beyond Faces, Geelong Gallery’s 2026–27 Early Childhood and Primary School program.

Drawing inspiration from Eric Thake—Do You See What I See?, educators will discover creative strategies for engaging students in portraiture that goes beyond physical likeness to tell stories about identity, community and belonging.

Through guided exhibition exploration, discussion and hands-on art making, participants will gain practical ideas for fostering observation, critical thinking and student voice in the classroom.

Learn how students can create meaningful portraits that celebrate the people who shape their communities, with selected works to be showcased in the Gallery’s Learn Space.
