Youth Ambassador Program 2026: Discovering the Impressionists

20 June to 11 October

An exciting opportunity for young people living within the Geelong region to gain a valuable learning experience and an understanding of arts industry knowledge, operations and leadership skills through a specialised training program.

Participants in the Youth Ambassador Program will have the opportunity to join the Geelong Gallery team in a paid casual role, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the delivery of our major exhibition, Discovering the Impressionists. Working alongside our Visitor Experience team, participants will build practical skills in invigilation, ticketing, and event delivery, while helping create a welcoming and engaging experience for visitors.

Open to young people aged 18–30 living in the Geelong region, the program supports participants to develop arts industry knowledge, as well as leadership, communication, and teamwork skills—while connecting with other young creatives in our community.

Geelong Gallery is a welcoming workplace and strongly encourages people with disabilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and First Nations backgrounds to apply.
