This assembly of fine decorative metalwork, All that glitters: Australian colonial gold and silver from the Vizard Foundation, is a remarkable collection of immensely rare and evocative works of art, selected from a collection that stands as a valuable facet of our national heritage. And, this remarkable private collection is generously made public here for the first time.

The new decorative arts gallery in which All that glitters was installed, was one of the final elements completed in the Geelong Gallery's comprehensive upgrade undertaken with a major grant from the Commonwealth Government's Centenary of Federation Fund.
