Artist statement:
I chose Miss Hayward because she inspires me to be creative with art and encourages me to never give up even when it doesn't look as good as I hoped. Without Miss Hayward I woudn't have visited the Geelong Gallery and entered this competition. I know that even if I didn't win I will still love art.
