Creative Conversation: Sue Cramer, Trent Walter and Victoria Perin
Guest speakers:
Sue Cramer is an independent curator, writer, and most recently held the position of curator at Heide Museum of Modern Art.
Trent Walter is an artist, master printmaker and publisher of limited edition prints and artists’ books by contemporary artists.
Victoria Perin is currently completing a PhD at The University of Melbourne and is a regular reviewer for Memo Review.
To coincide with John Nixon—Four Decades, Five Hundred Prints join us for a dynamic conversation hosted by independent writer and curator, Sue Cramer in conversation with artist, publisher and master printmaker, Trent Walter and independent writer and PhD student at The University of Melbourne, Victorian Perin. The conversation will explore John Nixon’s experimental and diverse printmaking practice, and his inventive use of varied techniques revealed in the exhibition.
This major survey exhibition is a collaboration between Geelong Gallery and an external curatorial team comprising of John Nixon’s wife Sue Cramer, his daughter Emma Nixon, and print publisher Trent Walter who worked closely with Nixon.
